La India: Solidaridad con el pueblo turco y el EMEP
The bomb attack in Ankara which has led to many dead and injured. Nearly 100 people have died and hundreds have been injured. 16 members of the Labour party have died including one member of the Central Committee. It is an attack on the democratic forces in Turkey, in this instance the Labour Party and the Kurdish democrats. Strangely the security forces were not operative prior to the demonstration. It is shocking that the Ankara police impeded the ambulances which were carrying the wounded and directed tear gas and water cannon at the survivors. This attack follows upon the earlier attacks on the democratic movement under the watch of Erdogan and the AKP. The AKP had been unnerved by their loss of a political majority in the last general elections and has overseen the assaults on democracy inside Turkey.
Internationally it has undermined its neighbours in Syria and Kurdistan even as it supports allies itself with ISIS and Islamic reaction. We give our full solidarity with the Turkish and Kurdish comrades who have lost their lives and their families and comrades.
